I love training at Wisdom Self Defense. I like that it is not sport-oriented like a lot of jiu-jitsu places and the self-defense aspect of jiu-jitsu is more applicable to real-life situations. We are not focused on points. I love the camaraderie and everyone is friendly and not trying to hurt anyone. Everyone should try jiu jitsu.
I think it is very important that you know self-defense. The world is a crazy place and bad things happen to good people no matter how much you try to avoid bad situations. Also, we have a very clear-cut curriculum that helps you proceed in the rankings but also makes you better at defending yourself. As a father and a husband, this matters to me greatly. It is a great brother and sisterhood.
